Ed McMurray

Assistant Director at CoNetrix Security

Ed serves as the Assistant Director of CoNetrix Security, providing information security and cybersecurity services. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics, an M.S. in Information Systems Security, and served four years as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Air Force. Ed’s passion for technology has followed many paths, including sysop of a bulletin board system (BBS), running a mini-network in the desert, network and security admin, IT auditor, and technology history enthusiast. Ed takes pride in being a husband, father, and son.

Alex Leon

Chief Information Security Officer at Dime Community Bank

Alex Leon is the CISO at Dime Community Bank, a $6 Billion institution located in Brooklyn, New York. Alex has over 25 years of experience working in the Financial Services industry, including 18 years at Citibank and 4 years at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking. He has experience working in all 3 Lines of Defense. He has some of the most recognized Information Security certifications such as: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, C|CISO, CBCP, CTPRP and CSX-f. Alex has a Master of Science in IT Management from Colorado Technical University; and is currently attending the CISO Executive Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Policy. He is a Cybersecurity Advisory Board Member at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Alex is the first CISO at Dime Community Bank and reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer. He briefs the Bank’s Board of Directors at least quarterly. In his free time he shares his knowledge and industry experience with those entering the field. He is a Learning Tree Cybersecurity Instructor and enjoys skydiving during the summer months.

Paul Phillips, CISA, CISM, MBA

Technical Research Manager, ISACA

Paul Phillips holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA with concentration in both Management and MIS. He also holds a Doctorate in Divinity from the Hope Seminary and Bible Institute. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Information Security Manager. He has worked in corporate America in various capacities for 32 years. He has also worked as a part-time professor for several universities and other various institutions of higher learning for 16 years.

Paul Phillips has spoken for organizations such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the US Department of Defense, ISACA International, MIS Training Institute, Lincoln Challenge Military Academy in Rantoul, Illinois, IMPACT Family Center, Teen Challenge, and various schools, churches, and conferences across North America and Africa.
