About the Webinar

Date: Tuesday, October 29, 2019
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDT

In August this year, the NCUA issued its first Risk Alert (19-RISK-01) in six years warning credit unions about the increasing frequency of and losses related to business email compromise. According to the Alert, “the FBI advises that business email compromise is a pervasive threat that can result in significant financial losses.” As part of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, CoNetrix is pleased to offer this complimentary webinar. Join us on Tuesday, October 29th as we take a look at this Alert and answer the following questions:

  1. Why did the NCUA release this alert?
  2. What is Business Email Compromise?
  3. Is my credit union at risk?
  4. What steps can my credit union take to help prevent business email compromise?
  5. What do I do if one of my members falls victim to a business email attack?
